TRYOUT INFO:​

• **All applicants MUST register before the audition:

  • Tryout fee: $35 new applicants

  • Tryout fee: $25 for anyone who was a member of the 2025-26 squads.

IMPORTANT! 

THE ONLINE APPLICATION MUST BE FILLED OUT BEFORE THE TRYOUT DATE. YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING ITEMS WITH YOUR APPLICATION FORM (so prepare these documents BEFORE filling it out):

1. Completed University of Memphis Spirit Squad registration/payment (all applicants)

2. Proof of Admission to the University of Memphis (copy of acceptance letter OR University ID), (new applicants only)

3. University of Memphis consent to participate form (all applicants)

4. Copy of your insurance policy card (front and back) (all applicants) 

5. Current physical within the last 6 months

6. Participant Waiver (see above)

7. Registration (done on the link above)

​Tryout Attire

Females:

• Black, Blue, or White sports bra

• Black, Blue, or White shorts/spandex (no big t-shirts)

• Hair must be in a slicked-back ponytail with a ribbon or bow

• Full Gameday makeup

• No jewelry/watches

Males:

• Clean shaven

• Polo shirt (blue, black, grey or white)

• Khaki shorts (with belt if needed)

• Athletic shoes

• No jewelry/watches

• Thursday, May 7th 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM

  • Open Gym Tryout

  • Location: Memphis Pride Cheer

• Friday, May 8th 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

  • Fight Song, Standing Tumbling, Running Tumbling

  • Location: Rec Center on Campus

• Saturday, May 9th 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM

  • Intermediate Stunts (IME) & Elite Sequence

    • Be creative with your transitions and find a way to stand out.

    • Tryout with skills you feel confident executing.

  • Location: Rec Center on Campus​

• Sunday, May 10th

  • 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM​

    • Program Meeting and contract signing

    • Location: Hall of Fame
      Note: Athletes who make the team are required to attend this meeting.

  •  

    ​12:00 PM – 2:00 PM

     

    • Program Practice (wear all black attire, no graphics)

    • Location: Rec Center on Campus
