The purpose of this campaign is to raise awareness to our situation. The program currently has NO PRACTICE SPACE for the fall. We are looking for a temporary space until we can finalize plans and secure funding for our forever home.
The campaign also supports the construction of a new facility. The Spirit Squads are an integral and visible part of The University of Memphis, and in many ways a window into the institution, with regional and national recognition.
By constructing a new facility, UofM Athletics will further honor its commitment to providing the highest level of performance in competition and in the classroom- uniting our community and helping to promote a sense of pride.

"Being provided a new facility would mean having a permanent home where we can all train, learn, and grow with proper equipment to keep our bodies safe and strong. This type of facility would allow us to remain competitive with other nationally ranked schools and ensure that the winning legacy of our program would continue into the future.”
— Bella Roy ‘25 - Memphis Pom and Ambush Crew

“A facility for Memphis Pom and Ambush crew would allow us to have a space where we are able to create and train to our highest potential as a team and individuals. Dance facilities are unlike any other, when you have a great one it becomes your home with how much sweat and energy you put in each day. A new facility will also allow us to hold clinics in our own space for future prospects to come train and see the home of MPDTAC”
—Anna Merrit '24 - Memphis Pom and Ambush Crew

"As our university spirit squads continues to grow in skill and number, the need for a new cheer and dance facility becomes increasingly evident. Being close to campus is important as us as athletes have injuries and need a quicker access to training facilities. This would allow trainers to be closer and more able to be present with the squads. A dedicated space would not only provide a place for us to call home for training but also foster team unity. Not only will it bring both cheer and dance together more, it will provide better opportunity for us to collaborate more often for the fans that enjoy watching our performances at games!"
—Peyton Cathey '24 - Memphis Cheer

"A facility for cheer and pom would benefit both teams greatly. It will allow us to grow a stronger bond, and potentially help us unite with the other student athletes. As well as being on campus would allow us to be closer to the training facility ensuring for us to get treatment. It will also allow us to have a permanent place to call home."
